EDF ENERGY - SIZEWELL C - DEVELOPMENT CONSENT ORDER APPLICATION - MOBILE LIBRARY
The pre-examination phase for Sizewell C’s Development Consent Order (DCO) application has now begun and will run until the 30th September.
As libraries and council offices are not permitting visitors, EDF Energy are providing a DCO Mobile Library bus service. The bus will be visiting Yoxford on the 22nd and 23rd July to enable people to review a hard copy of the DCO submission.
On board the bus there will be a number of computers uploaded with the DCO application documents, as well as the Environmental Permit applications. These computers can be loaned out for a five day period to people who are not online at home or who are shielding. A hard copy of the plans will be available to view, and there will also be an A3 photocopier for residents to print out large print copies of the documents.
The Library is a facility for people to view the documents and for them to be informed on how they can give feedback to the Planning Inspectorate. It is not an exhibition or part of the four stages of consultation that have come before. Staff will help people access the documents and answer simple, factual questions, but will not be able to give opinions, views or discuss the merits of the application.
Please also note that the Planning Inspectorate encourages people to view the DCO applications online. EDF Energy must respect social distancing requirements and this service is for residents that have no other option.
The bus is a single decker bus and will be parked from 9am-5pm in a location to be confirmed shortly. Access to the bus will be by appointment only and an appointment will need to be pre-booked by freephone from UK landlines on 0800 197 6102 or by emailing [email protected] See attached poster below.
