There has been a Cricket Club since the early 20th C, at Grove Park, disbanded then re-formed in 1933 and originally played at Rookery Park. At some point Sir Gervase Blois, 10th Bt, of Cockfield Hall was President. A 50th Anniversary Dinner was held 6th August 1983 at the Village Hall. Invitations were organised by Jack Horner, with RSVPs to him. Jack played cricket until the age of 60 and was the Cricket Club Secretary for some 30 years.
