Yoxford had an organised team in 1910. Yoxford United played
on the campground, players coming from surrounding villages
too. After The First World War, the team consisted of Dr
Marriott, Sir Guy Hambling, Tony Martin (Methodist preacher,
lived at Barnsdale), Mr Busby the Headmaster, four members
of the Clouting family, Mr Blowers the village tailor, Mr Clarke
the hairdresser, Mr Botinger and Mr Chenery.
